PERSONALITY: McKenzie is better known for being rather blunt with her friends and peers, not hesitating to call them on their mistakes, but at the same time commending them when they do something right. She has a good sense of humor that is best seen while she makes sarcastic comments towards her friends.

She's a very private person, often choosing not to speak of herself or abruptly changing the subject if she feels the conversation is turning to her in any shape or form. If McKenzie feels that you are prying too much into her personal life, she's prone to resorting to petty insults and a general unpleasant attitude in order to chase people away, though she usually never means anything by it. She doesn't actively seek company, and usually opts to spend her time in the medical tent sorting through supplies or doing busy work. For some reason or another, she absolutely hates being touched, and will react by lashing out if you catch her by surprise, usually with whatever she has on hand. Perry, however, seems to be mostly exempt from most of these behaviors when he interacts with her, possibly just because of their long standing friendship.

Being raised by a doctor, she remains very grounded and aware of the realistic consequences of choices and decisions, as is such- she always thinks before she acts, using her sense of perception to make choices. She is no stranger to blood, gore, or other injuries and keeps a very cool head during crisis. That is one of the key points to being a good doctor, after all, and also keeps her very aware of just how much is on the line. Mika will never act recklessly, unless someone else’s life hangs in the balance.

McKenzie’s exposure to Pokémon was minimal, save the occasional one that would accidentally stumble into the city and possibly injure some passerby’s. For reasons unknown, Pokémon seem to tolerate her to some level, which has so far let her bond quickly with her military issued partners.

BACKSTORY: The only child of a prominent doctor in Pewter City, it’s no wonder she ended up having such a vested interested in medicine. Her father took great pride in teaching her all he could about once he realized she had a gift for being able to find/get directly to the source of discomfort with relatively little information. As she grew older, it became apparent that her ability for diagnosing and treating illnesses with little to no information was growing as well, but came with the price of prolonged, agonizing migraines that would greatly impair her work. Not wanting his daughter to put too much strain on herself, he offered the son of a colleague the chance to marry her in exchange for having him take over the clinic.
It is unclear what happened over the course of the time following this engagement, but two years later she popped in the kanto military, and has not spoken anything of the matter with anyone. Only one other person is aware of the situation that has led her to joining the military, and they are sworn to secrecy. Even though she hadn't, or wouldn't explain the reason for her presence there, she did her best to meld in with the rest of the group, and pulled her weight. After basic training, Captain Clatcher approached her, requesting her aid in the medical corps due to lack of suitable personnel. Not wanting to miss a chance at learning more from a woman that was spoken of highly by her father, Mika agreed, and thus began her time as the Head Medic's right hand.

PERSONALITY: A headstrong, vain owl with a superiority complex. He’s learned much about these humans and how they behave after spending so much time with Mika, and he's decided he will have none of it. He has a high amount of disdain for other people- particularly Chase Austerby- and lets people know he’s displeased by fluffing up his feathers and hissing at then as they pass by- not that it does much good. He regards Mika’s orders as suggestions more than orders, depending on if he believes she knows what she’s doing or not- more often than not they end up being suggestions. After evolving, he was overjoyed to see he was now, in fact, taller than his handler, but then had his heart broken when he learned he was now too big to perch on her head (he tried this once post evolution and nearly brained her). Nowadays he's usually hovering around nearby, though, ready to leap to her defense if he feels she needs it

BACKSTORY: Vimes led a rather uninteresting, peaceful life in the Ilex forest, enjoying the simple day to day activities of eating bugs, freaking out passersby with his vacant, judging stare, and chilling in trees, up until the war started. He was originally caught due to a misunderstanding and generally creeping out a group of soldiers as they wandered through the forest, and then he was promptly shipped back to Kanto for training. Rather than being given to a cadet, he picked McKenzie and refused to be moved until she relented, much to everyone’s confusion.

PERSONALITY:
Errol is dumb. Very very dumb. Like most gible, he likes to hide in holes and wait for prey to pass by so that he may consume it. Unlike most gible, he has a very loose definition of the word 'prey'. He's attacked boots, jeep tires, other pokemon, trash, rolling beer bottles, and just about everything else. When he's not hunting everything in sight, he's curiously observing his surroundings. he has been known to give unfamiliar objects a nibble (or two or three or four or..yeah) to try and get a better grasp on what they are.
They usually end up in his stomach.
In general, he's very much like an eager puppy, and happily follows Mika around wherever she goes, occasionally pestering her to play or interact with him. He is particularly fond of playing fetch, even though, the object he is fetching is usually, inevitably ingested.
BACKSTORY:
Was the runt of his colony. He kind of just.. happily romped around, doing as he did, until one day he romped his way into being captured as a gible. He's been with the kanto military ever since.
Errol somehow managed to escape the confines of his ball one day, and then cruised into the medical tent, attempting to eat some boots and other items before Mika found him and attempted to return him.
He's been in her ownership ever since.

-Eats just about everything that he can get near, or gnaw on it, depending on how durable it is.
-EVENTUALLY HE WILL EAT WHAT HE GNAWS ON. he's patient like that.
- has a tendency to wander over to other soldiers and try to eat their boots..while on their person
